Head of Engineering

I lead engineering teams through the stages that matter most: taking a working MVP to a platform that can scale, through funding rounds and on to acquisition. I run the function through its managers, and I treat AI as a change in how a team works, not a tooling rollout.

Customer-facing platforms have been the constant: booking and scheduling for thousands of customers, connected hardware with time-bound access, real-time video and machine-learning recommendations. I have been writing software since 1997, and I still build things myself.

I also run kaiyou.digital, a small software consultancy, and build my own apps.
